"Autobiography"

When I was 16 and 17 years attended three nights a week at the Casa del Artista ", put on a walk at night for San Jose and fear not (much) to be assaulted,   then he was still its founder Olga Espinach, received lessons in drawing and after cake with Mario Salazar, eventually I became allergic to dust leaving the following year was a season with Chinese Morales, who gave me the first principles of Oil ... I was in Fine Arts from the University of Costa Rica, really appreciate the time and dedication of many teachers. Much learned in the shuffle with my friends and colleagues of Fine Arts with its sincere appreciation of art, encouragement and criticism. I combined my background in painting with several   other activities, which gave me a few pence, (as assistant to an advertising designers or related   and as editor of texts, which then were prepared manually. Others as an artisan, producing ceramics (mostly masks) plus   I made the setting for some curtains, esenografías and finished the weaves and manage several times as an actor. For nearly three years I worked in advertising design departments in two newspapers of Costa Rica. Only work in partnership with scholars from the taxonomy, insect, I remained for twelve years in a formal work as an illustrator "scientific."

That did not stop to continue painting and performing solo at the beginning of drawing, China ink pen or brush, then indict me acrylic ...

And there are those who I claim that I turned to painting to full from the start, but everyone has their own story mine is not bad or sinful for wanting to experience or survive in areas not strictly artistic. I firmly believe that art is not just technical or effects, is experience and each experience is irreversible and well valid.

Some people also miss my first stages of a more expressionistic and sophisticated, but no longer harbor a cult of suffering or drama. In my youth I often vented my chapters emotional, poured in the paper, I now prefer the canvas ...   a more level of life, where you must turn the page to see the painful chapters and find grace to the issues around us, our neighborhoods, people that surround us daily, our animals and relatives ...   to their threatened environment, but without leadership garments. Today I   Like human recreate everyday scenes, with animals as protagonists, for years my daughter tells me to go more "loose" animals that people, perhaps because it shows the affection that I have them ...
